Nathan Ryan


As the founder and Managing Director of NWR Communications, Nathan has more than a decade of experience in journalism, communications and investor relations. Nathan has worked in both the public and private sectors, being particularly focused on the resources industry after consulting for precious and base metal as well as oil and gas companies.

Simon Hinsley


Simon joined NWR in March 2012 after working at Bell Potter Securities in Melbourne. He has a strong knowledge of the equity market, specifically the small to mid-cap space, and holds a vast network of contacts in the industry, which is of great benefit to our clients.

Simon has a Commerce (Finance) degree from Deakin University and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from KAPLAN. He specialises in small-mid cap industrials, technology, and resources stocks.

Warrick Lace


Warrick has 15 years’ experience of financial communication: he has worked as a financial journalist, published and edited a financial services magazine, headed the communications function for a large investment management company and provided specialist communication consulting and counsel to many financial services clients in Australia and South Africa.

He has a passion for developing and implementing communication strategies and has extensive crisis communication experience.

Warrick holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Johannesburg, majoring in Communications and English, with a specialisation in Journalism.

Matthew Wright


Matthew has more than six years’ agency experience in investor and media relations working with ASX-listed small to mid-cap companies spanning the biotech, tech, resources and agribusiness sectors. His writing and editing skills combined with a strong contact list across media and financial markets prove particularly advantageous to clients.

Matthew graduated from Deakin University after completing a Bachelor of Arts with majors in both media and communications and public relations.

Peter Taylor


Peter has more than 12 years stockbroking experience including Morgans, Macquarie Equities and Balnave Capital. He has spent the last three years as Resources Analyst at Orient Capital and the Open Briefing report.

His broad market experience covers multiple sectors, including bio-tech, medical and industrial companies.

Phil Retter


Phil is based in the company’s Perth office and has more than 27 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate consulting, business development, mining and mineral exploration. He brings to NWR an extensive knowledge of the resources sector and equity capital markets.

Phil has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with Honours in Geology from University of Technology Sydney.

Tim Dohrmann


Tim has more than seven years’ experience in finance and journalism as an analyst, stockbroker and investment editor. He has worked as an emerging company share adviser, in institutional equity sales in London, and has edited one of Australia’s best-regarded small-cap investment services.

Tim brings to NWR analytical rigour, first-rate writing skills and a keen eye for what motivates investors and drives market expectations — particularly for small to mid-cap stocks.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne where he attained majors in Finance and Physics.

Stefi Trenberth


Stefi joined NWR in June 2014, having worked in marketing and account management for three years prior. During this time, she worked with a number of tier one corporates across the telecommunications, health, retail and banking sectors.

She has a keen interest in commerce and financial markets and is currently completing a Certificate of Investor Relations with AIRA.

Stefi completed her Bachelor of Arts/Journalism at Monash University and a post-graduate Diploma in Public Relations at RMIT.

Faris Habib


Faris is a recent graduate from RMIT University where he completed a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Accountancy & Finance. His interests lie in equity markets and understanding unique qualities of individual businesses.

Prior to commencing his tertiary education, Faris undertook a year long work placement in banking, where he first realised his passion for the industry.

Nicole Harrison


With 12 years of experience in journalism and public relations, Nicole’s career has taken her from a busy tri-weekly newspaper in country Victoria to the engine room of WA’s mining boom as a senior journalist in the Pilbara.

She spent time as a writer and editor of The West Australian-owned Mining ChronicleOil and Gas Bulletin and other industry publications, before joining the NWR Communications team in 2010.
